JACS: The Hybrid Technology
Just Another Communications Stack or JACS is hybrid technology. It is a combination of blockchain and Connection-Less Network Services (CLNS) with 160-bits NSAP addresses.
Basically, the protocol deals with data networks. The main goal of the protocol is to replace the TCP/IP. There were several reasons behind this which include IPv4 address depletion, centralized address allocation (for both IPv4 and IPv6), high-recurring renewal fees, and internet routing security.
There have been several attempts in the past to replace the present TCP/IP but have failed. Now, what makes JACS the most ideal solution for these ongoing circumstances? First, using the protocol, their vision is to enable a Web 3.0 evolution through a decentralized data communication stack. It uses blockchain to assign and administer globally unique addresses that offer security.
The project has started last 2017 and with projected completion by Q3 of 2022. The project’s official whitepaper was published in Q3 of 2019. The address sale has also started in Q1 of 2020. This year they released the Pre-alpha in Q1, followed by Alpha in Q2, and the Beta version in Q3. The official release of JACS Version 1 will be happening in Q4 of this year. The Version will soon be released in Q1 of 2022 while Version 3 in Q3 of the same year.
The platform will be powered using its utility JACS token. It’s an ERC-20 token and was created in Q4 of 2020. It has a total supply of 536, 870,912. From the total supply, 62.5% will be distributed in Crowdfund. The 18.5% will be for rewards and the remaining 18.5% will be used as reserves.
